What do you think when someone says Las Vegas? Casinos, lights, almost naked girls, shows, drinks, a “fake” city, right? But this is not exactly what you get when visiting the city. Actually, there’s much much more.
If you are just curious, you don’t like or you don’t want to gamble, and you just want to explore this crazy funny city, here’s my list of the best, yet free, attraction of Vegas.
BELLAGIO’S FOUNTAINS AND BOTANICAL GARDENS
I cannot say that Bellagio is my favorite, because you simply can’t love only one casino, they are so crazy, beautifully built, that is impossible to choose one, but the show of its fountains is the thing that touched me more. Every show is different from the other, I’ve seen the fountains dancing on Sinatra’s notes, so be sure to check more than one. During the evenings they play every 15 minutes. After the show, enter the Casino to discover the Botanical Gardens, a joy to see, decorated differently by the season, they assure a stunning experience to visitors.
MIRAGE’S VOLCANO
Similarly to Bellagio’s fountains, Mirage offers a free show visible from the Strip. A tribal, exotic Volcano eruption made of lights, fire, colors, emotions. Do not miss it, better at night, when you can enjoy its beauty in the dark.
CAESAR PALACE’S FALL OF ATLANTIS
The story of sibling rivalry for the throne of the Reign of Atlantis, narrated by huge animatronic statues, fire, water and light special effects.
VENETIAN’S CANALS
How to forget for some moments that you are in Vegas? Well, just enter the Venetian. Marvelously built to look quite exactly like the real Venice, you can enjoy a walk in a Venetian atmosphere without the perks of a 12 hours flight. You can actually ride a Gondola and take a tour of the casino’s canals.
FREEMONT STREET EXPERIENCE
Get ready to walk away with some neck pains, because you won’t be able to take your eyes off the ceiling of Freemont Street. A 6 minutes show of lights and music that runs every hour. Enjoy it even more from the Zip-Line that runs across the whole length of the Led screen.
GOLDEN NUGGET’S SHARKS TANK
I know, I don’t like animals in cages or aquariums either, so I am not particularly happy in suggesting the visit to such places, but it is something that has been told me to absolutely see. A tank with sharks, exotic fishes with a transparent water slide through it: it isn’t something you see every day.
WELCOME TO FABULOUS LAS VEGAS SIGN
A must see in Vegas, a selfie in front of one of the most iconic signs of USA is simply mandatory. Located on Las Vegas Strip just south of Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino. You won’t go back home without having seen it.
MERMAID FEEDING SHOW – SILVERTON HOTEL AQUARIUM
A 15 minutes show hosted by beautiful dancing mermaid and accompanied by Caribbean music, but the main characters are the splendid fishes and sharks that make the aquarium alive. Located about 5 miles (8 kilometers) far from The Strip.
Want some more? Be sure to walk around Paris, New York New York in the namesake casinos and reserve a stop at the Golden Nugget Casino to see its stunning Shark Tank and get close to those incredible creatures.
