The territory around Verona is rich of activities, interesting villages and things to discover, one of these is for sure Parco Giardino Sigurtà, in Valeggio sul Mincio.
This award-winning park has been recognized as Best Park of Italy in 2013 and Second Best Park of Europe in 2015.But why do you have to consider a visit of this park? Here a few consideration that may convince you!

SEASONAL CHANGES
Every season you’ll find a completely different and new park. Spring is the season of tulips and all its wonderful joyful colors. In 2016 Tulipanomania (the event of tulips blooming) won the award of Most Beautiful flowering of Italy. The park wears all it best colors during this time, if you enjoy wandering around a stunning, wide, blooming garden, you definitely have to come.

Summer leaves the show to all aquatic flowers and this season blooming. Bring all the necessary for a picnic under the shadow of centuries-old trees. Autumn, probably the most scenic season?! Here you can admire a stunning foliage, and witness all the trees get ready to sleep during winter.
RELAX AND DETOX
Spending a day here means getting truly in touch with nature. Parco Giardino Sigurtà is wide (60 hectares), there are many different options to visit it. You may walk around, if you don’t mind a lot of physical activity. Bike rental for adults and children is available at the entrance for €3/hour or you may bring your own, with no additional costs.

A panoramic tour on board of a train that follows the Enchanted trail will take you around the best spots of the park and tell you its history since its very beginnings. Tickets are available at the park shop for € 3,50 per person (children of height under 1 meter take the tour for free). The visit is 35 minutes long.

Curiosities and the park history will be explained to you also on the electric shuttle bus. A one hour visit for a cost of € 5,90 (€ 3,90 for childrer higher than 1 meter) for small groups of maximum 13 people.

Last but not least, the funniest way to explore the park in my opinion is by golf-cart. The cost is higher, €18,00 per hour for a golf-cart that can accommodate maximum 4 people. Every vehicle has a GPD system linked on a tablet that explain you the most interesting spots and the story of the garden. The itinerary is preset, but you are allowed to decide where, when and for how long to stop along the route.

I suggest you to spend a whole day at the park to truly enjoy every scenery and all its locations. Find the path that leads you to the center of the maze, discover the Deer Valley, induce around the 4 ornamental lakes near the Hermitage, learn while exploring the Medicinal Herbs garden and walk along the Avenue of Roses, the spectacular and colorful frame of Valeggio’s castle in the background. Spend a whole day surrounded by nature and its wonderful jewels.
