Hotel review: NH Collection Palazzo Barocci, Venice

Nh Palazzo Barocci, in #Venice, the hall

During our last stay in Venice we’ve been guests at NH Collection Palazzo Barocci, a beautiful four stars hotel on the Grand Canal. The hotel is part of NH Collection, the NH Hotels brand that includes some hotels that difference from the others for their exclusive locations and exceptional luxurious buildings, and of course an excellent service.

The structure is located in a majestic ancient Venetian palace. The interiors reflects both tradition and a modern comfort that I really enjoy in such structures.

The facade of the hotel is reflected on the waters of Canal Grande, and it gives the moment of your first entrance a whimsical magical allure, a good start for your stay, isn’t it?

The hall is amazing, a Swarovsky chandelier gives the entrance a fairy atmosphere and the ancient photos of Venice are a little historical preview of what awaits you just out of your hotel room. The service the hotel staff provides to the guests is something special, an attention to the client I haven’t find yet somewhere else and makes you feel like a princess.

The hotel has 59 rooms, divided into 6 different categories: Single Superior, Superior, Superior XL, Premium with view, Junior Suite and Panoramic Junior Suite. All of them are modern, comfy and wonderfully styled. Some rooms have a panoramic view, some have even an upper terrace that gives you a stunning view of the Grand Canal.

Every room of course have a private bathroom with more amenities that you can imagine, from razors to toothbrushes, just in case you forgot them! The classical amenities includes shampoo, conditioner, body cream and even a beautiful small hand cream and of course all the towels, two beautiful bathrobes and two sets of slippers.

The hotel knew we were coming for a romantic stay, so this is what we found in our room:

I don’t know if this is a special treatment or it is the romantic setting they give all the couples, but I have to say that it was a pretty amazing and appreciated surprise!

The breakfast is held in a beautiful room, that has a wonderfully painted ceiling and a stunning chandelier in the classical Venetian tradition. The breakfast offers everything you can imagine, both sweet and salt, smoothies, fruit juices, yogurts, fresh fruits and warm sweet croissants. Well, everything you may desire!

The hotel is 10 minutes far from Piazza San Marco and is located in the heart of Venice, few steps from La Fenice Theatre, you can book your stay here.

Our stay was amazing, I truly recommend you to stay at NH Palazzo Barocci if you are planning to visit Venice soon!

A very special thanks to NH Hotels and the staff of NH Palazzo Barocci for the extraordinary experience. Grazie ragazzi! 😉

Very nice review. The Palazzo Barocci looks quite decent! I just stayed at the Baglioni Hotel Luna Venice which was absolutely amazing, too. Hotels in Venice, while expensive, really deliver 🙂

Hello Moritz! You’re right, expensive hotels usually have a really good quality both in service and hotel structure. There are also smaller hotels, (and less expensive), that have splendid facilities and good services too. Usually they are not in the city center but a little bit out the classic touristic route. We have lots of them here in Italy! Did you enjoy Venice? ?

You are absolutely right, some charming boutique hotels are totally amazing. Nevertheless, the value for the money is always a little bit better in the chain hotels.

Talking of Venice, we definitely had a great time. Venice is one of the cities one should definitely visit once-in-a-lifetime!
