We live in a part of the world, and a part of Italy, were winter means cold weather, storms, rain even snow and constantly grey skies. This is the reason why a couple of years ago, at the end of my semester in the US, we took advantage of me being already in the American continent and booked a very special holiday. We decided to spend our Christmas in Nassau, Bahamas, and New Year’s Eve in the very center of the world: Times Square, NYC (but that’s another story).
We’ve been late on our way to the airport, so we missed our flight to Nassau, but luckily we managed to get on the same flight the very next day, on Christmas’s Eve and we enjoyed our early Xmas gift of one more night in NYC. That has been the quite hilarious beginning of our Bahamian vacation.
I must say that we loved this trip, the relaxing sunbathing on these stunning white beaches, the mesmerizing crystal clear waters, the festive, colored, happy atmosphere, the music that welcomed us at the arrival at the airport and the time we spent together exploring the surroundings after 5 months of being apart.
We booked a private, small apartment on Airbnb and we explored the island of Nassau and Paradise Island for seven days, enjoying the warm temperature and the sunny climate that welcomed and accompanied us during the whole Christmas week.
I hope to go back soon because I would like to explore also other Bahamian islands, Eleuthera and Exuma on top!
