Discovering Malcesine – Lake Garda

Malcesine is a gorgeous village overlooking the lake, with small houses full of flowers, tiny boutiques and cliffs over the Lake, discover it with us.

Finally. The wifi has come. After a month of moving and problems to solve, finally, I am back.  In a new house soon to become home, more spaces, new projects that has been standby-ed for the lack of connection. What happened in this off the virtuality month?  We have been busy moving. Back near the only town, back to our evening walks around Verona, back to more space, back to feeling home.  Not so many travels actually, if you don’t consider the ones back and forth with boxes and furnitures!

Yesterday has been the first day when we really stopped doing things and worrying and relax. We discovered a little more of the nice village of Malcesine.

MALCESINE

A castle on a cliff that dominates Lake Garda. The funicular that takes you up on Monte Baldo (still have to take it, but I bet up there is the absolutely best view of the lake!).

Its picturesque marina, where you can rent a small boat and do the lake tour. Gelaterie and restaurants to rest your feet and feed your body. Houses so nice, decorated with flower pots and colored shutters you could stay all day taking photos of each of them.

You can reach Malcesine with a car of using the public transportation, but be aware that especially with sunny days and on summer’s weekends there will be so much traffic you can find yourself in a line for hours. Bring your sunscreen and a hat, Italy in summer can be very hot, and never ever ever leave without bottled water. You can easily purchase it in bars, but if you’re in line under the sun, it will literally save you.
